Why we picked this

For those who aspire to become a lawyer, are curious about how legal professionals work, or want to strengthen their critical thinking skills, this is one of the closest experiences to real-life legal scenarios available in Hong Kong. The programme provides practical exposure and support, helping participants better understand the legal field and its real-world impact.

The Young Advocates Summer Camps (YASC) are engaging, two-week intensive traineeships that provide high school students with exposure to law and hands-on experience in the non-profit sector. Through interactive workshops, simulations, and case studies, participants learn about social issues impacting refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong. Students gain practical experience in legal, counselling, and social welfare support, and can assist on real asylum cases by sitting in on interviews and conducting legal research.
